Torrance, CA (September 15, 2014): Bishop Montgomery High School is proud to announce the establishment of the Father Gary Klauer Memorial Scholarship. At the Athletic Hall of Fame induction on Friday, BMHS Chaplain, and alumnus, Fr. Allen Ramirez '64, made the announcement.
The scholarship is named in memory of Fr. Gary Klauer, a 1963 graduate of BMHS and former faculty member, who passed away on April 22, 2014. Father Gary was a longtime supporter of Bishop Montgomery High School - as a student, a teacher, an administrator, an alumnus, and a member of the Catholic community.
Funds from the scholarship will be used for tuition assistance for a current BMHS student-athlete who has a financial need.
