Eric Fuller '94 Takes Helm of Baseball Program

Torrance, CA (July 3, 2014): Bishop Montgomery is excited to announce that alumnus and former BMHS assistant baseball coach Eric Fuller '94 has been named the next head baseball coach for the Knights. He is the 17th coach in program history.

Fuller began his coaching career in 2000 as the head JV coach for the Knights. From 2001-2002, he served as the Knights' varsity pitching coach before leaving for one year to serve as the pitching coach at Long Beach City College. Fuller returned to BMHS in 2004 and served as the Associate Head Coach and varsity pitching coach until 2011. Under his guidance at Bishop Montgomery, Knights' pitchers were named to the All-Del Rey League team 31 times and 8 went on to pitch at the college level. He played an instrumental role in the Knights reaching the playoffs 7 times from 2003-2011, including a trip to the CIF semi-finals in 2008.

In 2012 and 2013, Fuller served as the varsity pitching coach at Long Beach Wilson.

While a student at BMHS, Fuller had an outstanding career on the diamond. He was named Mission League "Pitcher of the Year," Daily Breeze All-Area, and BMHS Co-Male Athlete-of-the-Year as a senior in 1994. He ranks in the top 10 in four single season pitching categories at BMHS.

Following graduation, Fuller pitched at Lynn University (FL), El Camino College, and Cal State Northridge.
