Torrance, CA (April 16, 2014): Senior basketball player Justin Bibbins '14 joined an impressive list of Bishop Montgomery players who have been named Daily Breeze Player of the Year, it was announced today. Bibbins, who averaged 21.3 points and 5.4 assists, led the Knights to a 28-6 record and the Division IV State Championship this year. He will play next year at Long Beach State.
Bibbins is the 6th player in the program's history to be named Daily Breeze Player of the Year, joining the following players:
Errick Craven '01 (2000 & 2001)
Fred Washington '03 (2003)
Aaron Ware '08 (2008)
Justin Cobbs '09 (2009)
Aaron Ware '08 (2008)
Justin Cobbs '09 (2009)
Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 (2013)
Bibbins was joined on the Daily Breeze All-Area teams by teammates Stephen Thompson, Jr. 15 and Ethan Thompson '17. Additionally, Doug Mitchell was named Daily Breeze Coach of the Year!
