Torrance, CA (March 27, 2017): On Saturday night, the Bishop Montgomery boys' basketball team completed an incredible season by capturing the State Open Division title with a 74-67 win over Woodcreek High School. The Knights finished the season 31-2 under head coach Doug Mitchell.
In addition to winning the state title, the Knights also won the Del Rey League title, the CIF-SS Open Division title, the Southern California Regional title, and three tournament titles during the season (Westchester, Mission Prep, D1Bound).

The CIF title was the 7th for the program and the state title was its 4th.
