Torrance, CA (June 6, 2015): On June 4, preparations for the renovation of the main athletic field began, prompting excitement for student-athletes and coaches of many sports programs on campus, including football, boys' & girls' soccer, and baseball. The main athletic field, which consists of the football/soccer field and the baseball outfield, will be renovated in time for use in the fall.
Renovations will include the following:
- Removal of existing turf
- Removal of existing turf
- New grading of field
- Installation of new irrigation system
- Installation of new drainage system (along track)
- Installation of new drainage system (along track)
- Installation of new Tifway II Hybrid Bermuda Sod
