Shanahan Qualifies for CIF-SS Track Finals

Torrance, CA (May 13, 2013): The Bishop Montgomery girls' track team performed well on Saturday at the CIF-SS Division III prelims at Estancia HS in Costa Mesa.

The big winner on the day was senior distance runner Danielle Shanahan '13, who qualified for the CIF-SS Finals in two events. Shanahan finished 2nd in the 1600m in a time of 4:57. She then went out and won the 3200m in a time of 10:42.93 to post the top time in the division. She will compete in the CIF-SS Finals on Saturday, May 18 at Mt. SAC.

In the 4x100m relay, the team of Taylor Loggins '13, Angela Francis '14, Hayley Myles '13, and Kate Tokuhara '16 finished 26th in a time of 51.66.

Francis finished 24th overall in the 100m by posting a time of 12.78.

Sophomore Tessa Allen '15 tied for 11th in the high jump at 5-00.00.
