BMHS Students Raise Money for Leukemia Research

Torrance, CA (May 8, 2013): Bishop Montgomery's Concordia Club, a service-based organization on campus, completed another successful Pennies for Patients Program by raising $650 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Greater Los Angeles Chapter. With a campaign that lasted over a two week period in March, students were encouraged to donate their spare change to benefit research and patient aid in support of the LLS mission: cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

This is the fourth year that Concordia Club, under the direction of Spanish teacher Laura Fabbri, has organized a Pennies for Patients Program at Bishop Montgomery.

We thank all the students who participated in this worthy service project.
