Torrance, CA (April 16, 2013): Bishop Montgomery senior forward Lamond Murray, Jr. '13 was named All-State in two categories by MaxPreps recently. Murray was named First Team All-State in Division IV and Third Team All-State Overall.
Murray led the Knights in scoring (22.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.6 rpg) in 2012-13 en route to a 32-2 record. Following the season, Murray began collecting awards at a quick rate. He was named Del Rey League MVP, 1st Team All-CIF, and Daily Breeze Player of the Year. He is a member of the boys' basketball 1,000-point club and he is one of the most prolific scorers in school history.
He will continue his playing career at Pepperdine University.
