Torrance, CA (March 15, 2013): Applications for the Damion Mendoza Scholarship, sponsored by the BMHS Athletic Booster Club, are now being accepted. The scholarship is named in memory of former BMHS student Damion Mendoza, who passed away while in high school. He would have graduated in the Class of 1994.
The Mendoza Scholarship is awarded to one current male and one current female student-athlete. Those wishing to apply must submit a 1 page essay on "what it means to be a student-athlete at Bishop Montgomery."
Students should include a cover sheet that includes their name and grade. Participation on a BMHS athletic team is mandatory to be considered for the scholarship.
Essays are due on April 18 and must be turned into (or mailed to) the front office:
