Torrance, CA (November 8, 2023): Today in a ceremony on campus, senior Jack O'Shaughnessy '24 signed his national letter-of-intent to continue his academic and swimming career at UC San Diego.
In the spring, O'Shaughnessy became the first swimmer in BMHS history to win an individual CIF title (the 100 backstroke) and the first to be named an All-American. As a freshman, O'Shaughnessy was part of the 200 medley relay team that won a CIF title, the first swim title in school history.
Last year, O'Shaughnessy also reached the state finals in the 100 backstroke, where he finished in 7th place.
