Kairos Retreat Brings Seniors Together

On Friday, March 18, 2022, the campus ministry staff held an all day Kairos retreat for the senior class. Students came on campus and spent the entire day participating in activities, small group discussions, and listening to testimonials given by faculty members. Michaela Toland ‘22 said, “the retreat helped me find a common connection between people and it helped me to realize that you don’t always know what others are going through.” The small group discussions gave seniors an opportunity to share their life experiences and to support one another in a safe environment. Justin Brooks ‘22 said, “the Kairos retreat helped me to strengthen my relationship with God and form a deeper bond with my classmates that I didn’t know well before.” Ms. Carrie Rey, Mr. Kevin McGoldrick '01, Mr. John Hong, Mr. Eric Sheckler, and Mr. John Fitzsimons all gave talks on their personal lives and how God has been involved in their spiritual journeys. Amanda Gardea ‘22 stated that, “I learned a lot about our teachers and their backstories. It was really helpful to hear their views and advice on relationships and marriage.” Thank you to Director of Campus Ministry, Ms. Amy Hendry '04 and the campus ministry leaders for organizing and leading this retreat experience. The second Kairos retreat is scheduled for April 14.
