Ms. Sabol started working here at Bishop Montgomery HS in 2015. She has experience as the international student counselor as well as the learning specialist. She has coached JV girls’ soccer for the past 2 years and is looking forward to another great year.
Ms. Sabol is a graduate of Torrance High school. She received her bachelor’s degree from CSU Dominguez Hills in Public Administration with a concentration in criminal justice. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and her PPS Credential from Azusa Pacific University in 2011. Ms. Sabol has also worked as a grant counselor for a nonprofit through the University Of Reno Nevada. She worked with low-income teens and adults to obtain their High school diploma, GED, and find success in new careers. Working in different school settings has helped her to see that her role is to be a listener. Vietnamese monk Tich Nhat Hanh said, “Deep listening is the kind of listening that can help relieve the suffering of another person. You can call it compassionate listening. You listen with only one purpose: to help him or her to empty his heart.” I believe that being a sounding board for students is one of her greatest purposes.
Ms. Sabol enjoys going to the beach, walking her dog and crocheting. She played soccer at CSU Dominguez Hills and enjoys coaching so she can share her passion for the sport.
