Sports Medicine Pathway

The Sports Medicine Pathway is designed for students who have an interest in athletic training, kinesiology, nutrition, orthopaedics, physical therapy or any sports-medicine related field. Students in this pathway gain hands-on experience in injury evaluation and prevention, rehabilitation, and first aid. Students in this pathway are required to have verified volunteer hours either with our athletic trainers or at an off-campus approved facility.
Courses
- Biology, Honors Biology or AP Biology
- Anatomy & Physiology or Honors Anatomy & Physiology
- Sports Medicine & Exercise Science (includes required class volunteer hours)
Volunteer Hours
A minimum number of verified volunteer hours in the Pre-med Club and/or at an off-campus approved facility.
Pathways Requirements:
- Pathways will commence in the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Students must earn a grade of B- or better in each academic course.
- Students may participate in a maximum of two Pathways over their four years at Bishop Montgomery.
- Each academic course completed may be applied to only one Pathway.
- Projects in the AP Seminar/Research/Capstone courses must be approved and related to the Pathways topic.
- Students must submit for each desired Pathway an Intent to Participate in Pathways form by October 1st of their senior year.
