The Arts, Media & Entertainment Pathway is designed for students who have a passion for creative expression, communication, and storytelling. Within this pathway, students will have the opportunity to choose between two tracks: Design, Visual & Media Arts or Performing Arts.

Design, Visual, & Media Arts Track

Introduction Courses

*must be a minimum of 120 hours verified by the moderator
Introduction to Art Advanced Art National Art Honor Society (NAHS) Club
Art Design AP Studio Art & Design Knightlife Club (BMHS Newspaper)
Introduction to Ceramics Advanced Ceramics  
Yearbook 1 Honors Yearbook 2,3,or 4  
Video Production Honors Broadcast Journalism  
Graphic Design    


Performing Arts Track

Introduction to Theater Arts Advanced Theater Arts Drama Lab Club
Introduction to Music/
Music Production
Advanced Music Improv Club
US History after 1945 (includes a music focus on the history of rock n' roll)   TBK (Marching Band)
    Jazz Ensemble
    TBK (Color Guard)
    Song Team
    Short Flags Team

Pathways Requirements:

  1. Pathways will commence in the 2025-2026 academic year.
  2. Students must earn a grade of B- or better in each academic course.
  3. Students may participate in a maximum of two Pathways over their four years at Bishop Montgomery.
  4. Each academic course completed may be applied to only one Pathway.
  5. Projects in the AP Seminar/Research/Capstone courses must be approved and related to the Pathways topic.
  6. Students must submit for each desired Pathway an Intent to Participate in Pathways form by October 1st of their senior year.
