Bishop Montgomery's NHS chapter recently completed their Spring Sock Drive. Over 350 pairs of new socks were donated to three organizations:
- Covenant House via Laura Fabbri and BMHS' Concordia Club;
- Campus Ministry for our Community Outreach work;
- 1736 Family Crisis Center.
Below is an excerpt from a letter we received from 1736 Family Crisis Center:
Dear Bishop Montgomery High School friends,
Wow! Thank you so much for your gift of over 200 pairs of new socks to 1736 Family Crisis Center. We are deeply grateful for your past support and continued commitment to the life-transforming work we do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. On behalf of our clients who will wear these socks, thank you!
Throughout our 43 year history, we have grown continually to meet increasing needs and to help new regions. Our Center reaches about 25,000 people a year through 13 service sites. We serve the needs of runaway and homeless youths, survivors of domestic violence, homeless and abused youth, human trafficking victims, very low income families, and most recently, homeless Veterans and their families.
We could not do our work without your help.
Thank you, BMHS National Honor Society members!
