TBK Alumni Scholarship

The Thunder By Knight (TBK) Alumni Scholarship was established in 2017 to provide tuition assistance to current BMHS students who are involved in band, drumline, or flags.

One $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to one student in the spring of each year 2018-2022. 

This scholarship will provide tuition assistance to a BMHS student who:
1) Is a current band, drumline, tall flags or short flags member;
2) Is a current sophomore or junior who is committed to being a member of their team through the next consecutive school year;
3) Demonstrates outstanding professionalism, work ethic, perseverance and a high-achieving goal-oriented mindset;
4) Maintains a minimum un-weighted 3.0 GPA; 

The TBK Scholarship Committee believes that the skills learned in the practice room are transferable skills that will be useful in college and beyond. Our intention is that the student will be able to use this award on their college applications and get a head start on the
beginnings of a college application essay by the end of their junior year. We hope that parents, counselors, instructors, and coaches will encourage all eligible students to apply both their sophomore and junior years.

Scholarship funds will be credited to the student’s BMHS tuition account.

Applications to the Thunder by Knight (TBK) Alumni Scholarship are due to the BMHS Advancement Office (2nd building) by February 28.
