Welcome to my homepage! A Bishop Montgomery alumna who began teaching in our English Department in 2006, I currently teach AP Language and Composition and AP Literature and Composition and serve as Department Chair. I also work closely with Drama Lab as the moderator for the Improv Team and help moderate the Black Student Union.

I have a single subject California teaching credential in English. I earned my BA from Loyola Marymount University, with a double major in English and History and a minor in Theology, and continued at LMU to earn my master’s degree in English Literature.

I love teaching English because words are meager, slippery, and powerful tools that humans use to make sense of themselves and their reality. It is one of my life’s greatest pleasures to meet with students and play with words, analyzing and arranging them, wielding the creative tools that define and transform our world.
