My name is Keira Mung, but students can call me Mrs. Mung. I am an English Language Learning Teacher for the Amerigo Education Program* at BMHS. In this program, international students have the opportunity to study abroad here in the U.S. I started working at Amerigo Education and BHMS in August 2019. My previous teaching experience includes teaching English to all grades, including teaching in diverse public schools in Minnesota, and teaching at a private language school in South Korea. I have been teaching for nine years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in teaching English as a Second Language (K-12) from the University of Northwestern - St. Paul. I am excited to work alongside international students to help them succeed academically and prepare them for college or university. I teach two classes that are geared towards developing non-native English speakers' academic writing and composition skills. This is my second year being the moderator for Korean Club! In my free time, you might find me doing puzzles, playing board games or video games, reading sci-fi/fantasy novels, or trying new kinds of food!

Syllabi for the classes I teach are on the right side:

  • ARC (Academic Reading and Composition) Foundations
  • ARC (Academic Reading and Composition) Introduction (1)
