Black Student Union (BSU)

To find common ground amongst our student body on race related issues by having a forum to discuss events that are close to our hearts; We plan to educate and inspire change through motivational African American culture, which encompasses Black literature, cinema, and music. The club is open to all BMHS students.

Black Excellence Scholarship

The Black Excellence Scholarship, awarded by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Justice and sponsored by the Black Student Union, is awarded to a Black senior graduating from Bishop Montgomery High School who has distinguished themselves as an individual of outstanding character and whose leadership has positively impacted their community. The scholarship award is intended to help the recipient transition from high school to a college or university by offsetting the costs of tuition or other college expenses, such as textbooks.
