Honors Chemistry (Period 3)

Honors Chemistry is an advanced chemistry course that will prepare you for AP Chemistry, if you choose to take it. Therefore, the amount of material covered will be more and the pace will be faster. You must stay on top of the work and do not let yourself fall behind. Please come see me immediately if you feel you may be experiencing any difficulties.

This first semester of chemistry will cover topics dealing with matter and its changes, making proper scientific measurements, atomic structure, periodic trends, bonding, the mole, stoichiometry, and naming. The second half of the course will deal with chemical reactions, acids and bases, the gas laws, states of matter, solution chemistry, and thermochemistry.
