Bishop Montgomery's NHS Chapter sponsors a Spring Sock Drive, collecting over 1,000 pairs of socks which have been donated to local organizations over the past several years. One of the organizations we support is St. Margaret's Center in Lennox. St. Margaret's Center is a  program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles Inc., and it has served low-income and homeless families since 1987. The Center provides a comprehensive range of emergency and supportive services to about 10,000 unduplicated individuals annually in the Los Angeles "L.A.X." area, primarily those living in the cities or streets of Lennox and surrounding communities. 

Bishop Montgomery's NHS Chapter Sock Drives have supported the following organizations over the past several years. 

• Covenant House
• Campus Ministry for our Community Outreach work
• 1736 Family Crisis Center
• St. Margaret's Center

Below is an excerpt from a letter we received from 1736 Family Crisis Center:

Dear Bishop Montgomery High School friends,

Wow!  Thank you so much for your gift of over 200 pairs of new socks to 1736 Family Crisis Center.  We are deeply grateful for your past support and continued commitment to the life-transforming work we do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  On behalf of our clients who will wear these socks, thank you!

Throughout our 43 year history, we have grown continually to meet increasing needs and to help new regions.  Our Center reaches about 25,000 people a year through 13 service sites.  We serve the needs of runaway and homeless youths, survivors of domestic violence, homeless and abused youth, human trafficking victims, very low income families, and most recently, homeless Veterans and their families. 

We could not do our work without your help.
