Torrance, CA (February 2, 2015): Friday was an historic night in the history of the boys' basketball program as senior guard Stephen Thompson, Jr. '15 scored his 2,000th career point in the Knights' 71-48 win at St. Bernard.
Going into the game, Thompson was 14 points shy of the mark. Early in the second half, he was only one point away when he was fouled on a drive to the basket. With cell phone cameras filming, Thompson sank the first free throw to reach 2,000 career points.
He finished the game with 19 points for the Knights.
