BMHS Welcomes Class of 2018 at Family BBQ

Over 350 freshmen and their families members enjoyed their Friday evening at Bishop's 2nd Annual Freshman Family BBQ.  Held on BMHS' upper field, the event served up traditional BBQ fare and gave students and parents the opportunity to mingle, enjoy time with classmates and their families, and forge new friendships. Guests were treated to performance by the BMHS varsity and junior varisty song teams, as well as lively atmosphere music, courtesy of some of our BMHS Knight Band student DJ's.

After the BBQ, the 2018 classmates headed down to the main gym at 7pm for their first high school dance, the "Big Kahuna Luau / Welcome Frosh Dance." The mixer included improv performances, as well as ukulele and hula performances by Bishop's own students, and shaved ice snacks.

The BBQ and dance capped off a whirlwind week of welcome-back activities that included Back to School Night; the fall semester Club Drive; lunch performances by the song teams, short flags teams, and band; the all-school Welcome Mass; and the annual Big Sis/Lil Sis Lunch.
