Torrance, CA (October 13, 2017): On Friday night, five incredible alumni were inducted into the Bishop Montgomery Athletic Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2017.
3-sport standout Greg Collins '69 is one of only 8 athletes in school history to be named All-CIF in multiple sports (football and basketball).
Sigi Schmid '71 is one of the most accomplished soccer coaches in the history of the United States. He, along with Marine Cano, started the soccer program at BMHS following his graduation.
Marine Cano '72 is known as "Mr. Soccer." He and Schmid started the soccer program at BMHS and Cano has been coaching for 34 years. He is currently the head men's coach at Soka University.
Tashara Carter '97 is one of the most accomplished basketball players in school history - which by itself is impressive given the history of boys' and girls' basketball at BMHS. She went on to have a decorated career at USC
Danielle Graham '97, a teammate of Carter's, was also an All-CIF selection in multiple sports (voleyball and basketball). She helped lead both programs to CIF and State titles.
