School Softball Records Fall in 2017

Torrance, CA (May 10, 2017): A few single-season softball records fell in 2017. Senior Zia Norris '17 (pictured bottom), who signed to play at UCLA, broke the school record for home runs with 9. The previous record was 7, held by Alexandria Davis in 2009.

Sophomore Madison Jacobus '19 (pictured top) tied the single-season record for triples with 7. She also hit .571, good for the third best mark in school history. Her 36 hits on the season are tied for the 5th most in a season, as well.

Two other players cracked the top ten. Sophomore Kori Liu '19 had 5 doubles (9th) and classmate Kat Hummer '19 had 6 doubles (T-7th).
