Torrance, CA (May 22, 2015): The BMHS baseball team beat Sierra Vista 5-3 yesterday in the first round of the CIF-SS Division V playoffs. The game was tied 0-0 after 7 innings before the Knights scored 5 runs in the top of the 8th inning. Kane Kutler '16, Austin Garbe '15, Liam Kent '15, and Brendan Marafino '16 drove in runs in the 8th inning for BMHS. Tim Bever '15 got the win and Nathan Draves '17 got the save.
It was the Knights' second win this week, having shutout Windward 3-0 on Tuesday in a wild card game.
The Knights (15-13) will play Hemet on Tuesday at home. Game time is 3:15pm.
