Welcome to Mrs. Susan Strauss’ Economics and World History classes!
My primary goal is for students to develop an appreciation for the disciplines of History and Economics by means of meaningful readings, lectures, discussions, projects, and simulations.
This is my third year at Bishop Montgomery, but I have a long background in education. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History from Whittier College and a Master of Arts in Health Education from California State University, Los Angeles. I earned a Life Standard Teaching Credential in History from California State University, Long Beach and a credential to teach Economics from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
I taught at Northview High School in Covina for 35 years. I primarily taught Economics, AP Economics, US History, and World History.
I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching at Bishop; the staff is professional, friendly, and very supportive. The students are very kind and respectful. I look forward to many more years here.
