About Me:

I was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. The city that won the America’s Cup!

john sansaloneI went to a state (public) primary (grades 1-7) schoolservite logo called Westminster Primary School. Then I went onto a private Catholic high school called Servite College High School. (Grades 8-12) It had all the wonders that a Catholic High School provided. A great uniform, nuns and priests to keep us in line, faith based education and the tools for university.

My college years were spent at Curtin University incurtin logo Perth where I obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science – Physics degree. (B.App.Sc-Physics) This also included university level chemistry. With these qualifications, I feel that I am able to teach with confidence and able to handle any questions or problems that my students may come across.

NOAHAfter uni (aka college), I worked in research at the university for 2 years analysing and interpreting atmospheric code from NOAH satellites.

After that, I did what most Australians do, I went on “walkabout”. It’s an aboriginal initiation procedure for initiation into manhood. But for most Aussies, it means travel the world for 6-12 months before you settle down. I arrived in the U.S. bright eyed and ready for any adventure.

After some traveling around, I met my future wife – Anne. At first I worked as a manager in a messenger company, but the job satisfaction was not being met, even though the money was. I decided to do something more meaningful with my life and to utilise my educational qualifications. My choice to become a teacher excited me and so I started with Bishop Montgomery H.S. in the year 2000. New millennium, new start. I continue to be excited about teaching and look forward to each new year and new students.

Uru,
Mr. John Sansalone.
