Jeremiah Bruner
Algebra 2, Intro to Calculus

Dear Parents:

Welcome to my official BMHS webpage!  My name is Mr. Bruner, and I teach both Algebra II and Introduction to Calculus.  I am very excited about the school year, and it is my sincere hope that your son or daughter will excel in my class.  To this end, please know that I am willing to help in any way that I possibly can.

Because the study of mathematics is cumulative, it therefore requires discipline and effort on a daily basis.  I would kindly ask that you encourage your son or daughter to set aside enough time after school each day to study math.  Frankly, I don’t think I can overstate how critically important it is that students not just “finish” the assigned homework, but rather how they should strive to gain every evening a thorough conceptual understanding of the material.  I firmly believe that by doing this students will attain a greater level of success not just in my class but also in future math classes they may take.

You may at any time check the status of your son’s or daughter’s grade by logging onto www.mygradebook.com.  You will need both the student’s classword and individual password.  The classword corresponds to the period your son or daughter takes my class.  My classwords are as follows:

Period 1 (Algebra II) – “Bruner-1S”
Period 2 (Intro to Calculus) – “Bruner-2S”
Period 3 (Intro to Calculus) – “Bruner-3S”
Period 4 (Intro to Calculus) – “Bruner-4S”
Period 5 (Intro to Calculus) – “Bruner-5S”

Parents, please note that there are no spaces in any of my classwords.  Also, each student’s unique password is his or her five-digit student identification number (without the “0” in front).

In addition to a direct link to www.mygradebook.com below, you will also find links to my syllabi.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have ANY questions or concerns about your son’s or daughter’s progress.  You may contact me via email at jbruner@bmhs-la.org.

All the best,

Mr. Bruner
